Adventure KINdy
Adventure play in wild spaces for children aged 3.5-5 years
2023
A 100% outdoor KINdy
Our adventure KINdy programs offer opportunities for children aged 3-5 years to come together, play, explore, take risks, and learn from the natural world through stories, songs, art, exploration, and imaginary play.
Based on Early Years theory and the Forest School philosophy of child-led, play-based learning, our days at KINdy are filled with activities and opportunities for exploration and learning led by the children’s natural curiosity and wonder.
Sessions are led by trained educators and take place outside in all weather. Throughout the sessions, children can choose to participate in outdoor games, learn how to use hand tools such as saws or whittling knives, build cubbies, cook on the campfire, dig in the mud, identify bugs with magnifying glasses, or retreat to our shelter for some reading or nature craft.
Adventure KINdy is a mobile kindy, situated in and around the Surf Coast on the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung People during school terms.
